Medical Catheter Hub CAD

The Challenge

A medical device contractor needed parametric CAD for a catheter-related subassembly with precise flexible section length, hub retention, and clean routing for downstream molding. Prior models were surface-only and could not drive tolerances on the hub bond length — blocking mold design for the handle component.

Our Approach

• Built parametric master model with published length and diameter drivers for variant family
• Defined hub retention features and bond-length tolerance stack for molding
• Created section views for mold vendor showing shutoffs and slide actions
• Specified materials compatible with specified sterilization path on drawings
• Delivered controlled drawing set with revision table and inspection dimensions
